Most importantly, every repair is fully tested in our custom-built simulators under load with a motor to replicate real-life working environment.

Visual Overview

When conducting a visual check, the technician inspects the drive for any mechanical damage to the drive itself and any printed circuit boards (PCB). The technician then proceeds to verify connections are tight and correct inside the drive and there are no loose screws, wires or debris. Additionally, the unit is checked for any burn marks on the components, PCBs or chassis. During the visual inspection, excessive dirt on cooling components is noted as well as the functionality of the heat sink.

  • Check all wiring and connections
  • Verify incoming power and bus voltage
  • Try to cycle power to the drive
36 CNC Communication Error
  • Indicates that communication between CNC and drive has stopped
  • Check cables for proper connections
  • Check control communication parameters
50 Overload 1
  • If alarm occurs at power up, disconnect the motor leads from the drive (without power) and apply power to check if alarm has cleared. If alarm clears, problem may be a short in the motor or motor cable
  • If alarm happens while running, meg the motor to check insulation resistance
  • Check overload detection level parameter (SV022) and make sure this is not set too low
52 Excessive Error 1
  • This indicates that the difference between the ideal and actual positions has exceeded the value in parameter OD1 or OD3
  • If happening conistently, check encoder and encoder cable
  • Verify cabling and look for any loose connections/miswiring of the encoder
  • Check parameters OD1 and OD3
